Update on Maya's Potty Training

Maya is doing pretty well with her potty training. She is solely in panties all the time (except when she runs out of them because of dirty ones from accidents). She does well when you put her on the potty and even occasionally tells you she has to go potty. Though sometimes it is right in the action or after it. What's frustrating sometimes though is when she says "My go potty" or "My go poopy" so Jason will pick her up and run from wherever we are at, even in stores, to get her to the potty in time. She thinks it is fun as she is bouncing and Jason's running across the store or the park. We get her to the potty and then set her down only to have her say "I'm done" as soon as she sits down. We can never not take her though because their have been a couple of times she said she needed to go and we didn't believe her then a few seconds later she has gone.

We are learning all over again and it is different this time because she is a girl and she is learning things differently.

More to do....?

Well, you may think what is Jason thinking he already is a busy father and technology teacher as well as the union president of Creighton Education Association the local union right? Well, not quite. After long deliberating back and forth on the pros and cons on running for the Board of Directors for the Arizona Education Association, the state union, he decided to run. On April 27th he had to give his speech to his region he would be in charge of and continued to campaign by communicating with the other local presidents. Karen said she had never seen him as uptight and nervous as he was that day and the next day when the polls opened. (She also didn't see him the morning of their wedding :~) ) We didn't know the results until right before we left for lunch. When the results were posted, Jason had won the election and was the new Board of Director for Region 6. This position is a three year term which will keep him busy working with twelve locals to help forge the relationships he has done in his first term as CEA president. Yes, he is still going to be the local president as well, he was re-elected to a second two year term.

He is very excited about his new position and looks forward to the new challenges it will bring.
